Hello, sailors, swashbucklers and landlubbers alike!

I could not have asked for a better season opener. We have officially have been open for a week now and it is hard to believe we are two weeks ahead of normal. It has felt like June temps. The weather is fantastic and the wind has been outstanding.

It is official we are open for business. The Olad departed for the first sail of her season yesterday. For a third year in a row, we are the first boat in the Maine’s sailing fleet to take out passengers. I am rather proud to be the Captain that gets thing started.

Every year in April, after the first series of warm days the local newspaper goes out into downtown Camden, Maine looking to interview the locals. The question is always the same ”What sign tells you that winter is over?” Some will say that is the buds on the trees. Some on will say that Ice Cream looks good again. Others say that is crocuses blooming.
