Join us for a sailing experience in Camden, Maine! We offer two-hour day sails or custom private charters departing from the picturesque Camden Harbor. Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the rocky shoreline of Penobscot Bay where you can spot hidden mansions, lighthouses, small islands, seals, bald eagles, lobster boats, and other magnificent ships! 

The Schooner Olad is a completely restored, classic sailing yacht built in 1927. Departing daily from Camden, Maine mid-May to mid-October, the Olad offers two-hour day sails for up to 22 passengers. The Olad also offers custom sailing charters for two hours, a half-day, or even a full day, making it the perfect setting for a family reunion, office outing, wedding, or get together with close friends! Be sure to check out our Special Events page where we offer many public special events throughout the season including sailing races, island lobster bakes, and lighthouse tours. 

The Sailing Vessel Owl is perfect for those looking for a more intimate sailing trip. Join us aboard our 6-passenger sailing vessel, which is one of the most versatile sailboats departing from Camden Harbor. The Owl was designed by famous yacht designer John Alden to be a fast and comfortable cruising boat. Built in 1941, the Owl is a timeless classic that has been rebuilt to the height of today's standards. The Cutter Owl is available for two and three-hour day sails, as well as customizable private charters for up to 6 passengers. With advance notice the Owl will sail you to Stonington for an overnight at one of the beautiful inns, to Vinalhaven for a romantic dinner and overnight at Nebo Lodge, or to a tent site at Warren Island State Park where we'll prepare a lobster bake for you! August is Here!

It's hard to believe we're entering August! It's been a busy summer with great weather and amazing sailing out of Camden Harbor. We're looking at a busy month ahead, with two Public Lobster Bakes, several private charters for wedding celebrations, family picnics, and corporate retreats, and a fireworks sail at the end of the month! If you're planning a family celebration or group outing, consider a 2 hour sail on the Schooner Olad! We offer customizable charters for two hours or up to a full day of sailing! We work with a local caterer so you don't have to worry about coordinating food for your celebration!   We're definitely in our busiest part of the season with the boats filling up every day that it's nice out, we encourage folks to book ahead! We hope to see you out there for some great summer sailing!    

On This Day 19 Years Ago...

  On this day in 2005, Aaron Lincoln bought the Schooner Olad! For the last 19 years Aaron has been the steward and operator of this historic 1927 sailing yacht. Aaron worked as a captain for the previous owners, Sue and John Nugent, for many years before buying the boat. Prior to that, the Nugents owned and operated the Olad as a daysailer in Camden through the 1980s and 90s. In the late 90s the Nugents completed an extensive rebuild of the vessel, ensuring it would continue to sail for many year to come! Aaron began working for the Nugents in 2000, and eventually purchased the vessel in 2005. Since then Aaron has enjoyed sailing the waters of Penobscot Bay on the Schooner Olad, sharing the beauty and history of the region with visitors from all over the world!
